Who changes a flat tire on the roadside in Atlanta?

Changing a wheel is not difficult. Changing a wheel two feet from traffic doing seventy is a genuinely dangerous thing to do, and it is where a meaningful number of roadside deaths happen every year. If you are on an interstate shoulder, the correct move is to stay in the vehicle, belted, with hazards on, and let someone with a truck, lights and cones do it.
What we can do at the roadside
- Fit your spare. Fastest resolution when there is a usable one in the vehicle.
- Repair the puncture where the damage allows. A clean nail in the tread is often repairable. A sidewall cut is not — that tire is finished, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a blowout.
- Deal with no spare at all. Increasingly common on newer cars, which ship with an inflator kit or nothing. Depending on the damage, that means an inflator, a repair, or a tow to somewhere with a tire that fits.
- Get you moving on a donut safely. Temporary spares have speed and distance limits printed on them for a reason, and we will tell you what yours means for the drive.
Questions people actually ask
I have a spare. Why would I call you?
Location, mostly. In a driveway, change it yourself. On the shoulder of the Perimeter, in the rain, at night, on the traffic side of the vehicle — that is a call worth making. Locked lug nuts, a seized wheel or a jack point you cannot reach are the other three common reasons.
Can you repair a run-flat?
Sometimes, and it depends on the manufacturer and whether the tire has been driven on while deflated. Many run-flats are not repairable once run flat, by design. We will tell you what we find rather than guess.

Then this is very likely a tow, since one spare does not solve two flats. Two at once also suggests something worth knowing about — a kerb strike, road debris or vandalism — and it is worth a look before you drive on.
